MEET OUR PLUMBERS

ALEXANDER SHORTER 

Alex grew up in Kent & East Sussex and so he knows the area like the back of his hand. He attended Cranbrook Grammar School before heading to the University of Manchester to study English Language & Spanish for which he received a 2:1.

Alex has always been interested in property which stemmed from his parents love of renovating tired houses. He always knew that he wanted to work for himself and create a successful business and so the idea of Pantiles Plumbing & Heating was born. He began the City & Guilds plumbing training course and took an apprenticeship with a local plumber. On completion of the plumbing course he began the Gas Safe training and continued his apprenticeship whilst completing the extensive portfolio required to become Gas Safe qualified.

Alex became fully qualified in 2010 and Pantiles Plumbing & Heating has been helping customers all over Kent, East Sussex and London ever since!

Interesting fact: Alex’s first job was installing the bathrooms in the newly renovated Savoy Hotel on the Strand! Thrown in at the deep end is an understatement; luckily he could swim well…

SEBASTIAN SLADE 

Seb grew up in Wadhurst and he met Alex when they both attended Vinehall School. Alex was in the same class as Seb’s older brother and so when Alex heard that he was looking for an apprenticeship in 2011 he was happy to take him on.

Alex found it hard to get an apprenticeship locally and so he wanted to repay the favour and start to expand the business. Seb was already qualified as a ‘wet plumber’ (water only) when Alex took him on so as well as gaining experience Seb has also learnt all about heating and gas work too.

Interesting fact: Seb grows a moustache for Movember (the charity) each year and so for the whole month of November Alex and Seb look like the Super Mario brothers. So much so that the local plumbers merchants refer to them as this!

Pantiles Plumbing and Heating have good relationships with several local building companies and have worked on many projects with them. We are a young team with a lot of experience and drive. Alex advises on all of the jobs and as we are a small team you get a personal service from us.

PERRY MILLS

Perry joined the team 2 years ago now and has recently completed his Gas Safe portfolio. He still has to sit his exams but he is now very close to calling himself Gas Safe. Perry has learnt a lot in the last 2 years and has really developed quickly. He has experience is completing all types of heating systems. His background was formerly drainage, so is broad knoweldge and expertise are very benificial. 

Perry wants to focus now just on heating systems. He finds them to be more rewarding and on completion of his exams Perry will be our go to engineer for boiler servicing and maintenance. His skills are second to none in that department. 

RICKI KONSTANDI

Ricki is the newest member of the Pantiles Plumbing and Heating team. He comes to us with a very broad knowledge of both heating and full plumbing systems. Ricki has mainly focused on the reactive maintenance side of plumbing making him an extremely good all rounder. We are very much looking forward to him becoming another integral part of the Pantiles Plumbing and Heating team.
